Idea: people are taken over by electronics, they have been mind controlled by them. The electronics are doing things that affect nature, people, and the world. “How do you know?” I sobbed into his chest, which was comfortably warm. “Look at the sky,” we both looked up at the beautiful star-filled night. It was a soft purple, filled with bright white dots. The way the Milky Way glowed made you wish that night never ended. “There are greater things above us.” He looked into my eyes with his awfully beautiful silver eyes. “All you have to do is believe.” 5 years later, the sky disappeared. 5 years later, dad died. 5 years later, I got expelled. Now, I don’t know what to do. I guess I could at least introduce myself. I’m Harper Soiberry. A member of the Anti-Tech society, and at the moment, I’m in danger. Well, everyone living in New New York City is, but I still am... Anyway... The year is 2785. Pollution fills the earth. People took it too far. Global warming happened, and is still happening. Antarctica melted completely, and Bangladesh along with India and a few other countries flooded entirely. Most coastal cities disappeared off our maps. Boston, Sydney, San Francisco, Tokyo, all gone. Us New New Yorkers who are still alive were lucky to have survived. Long Island, along with a few other cities in New New York flooded. I even heard that the Grand Canyon has washed away.... I hope not.... |
